Q: What does MWE Stand for?
A: MWE stands for Missouri Wrestling Experience. We chose this for a couple of reasons. The most obvious being that we're in Missouri, but also because we want this to be just what the name says; an experience. We want people to say "This/that is one of the best feds ever" even if they leave.
Q: Why does UWL appear everywhere?
A: United Wrestling League [UWL] is a strong partner with the MWE helping with advertising, booking special events, and in some cases recruiting new members. MWE was designed on the idea that while there are other feds that come into UWL already established, MWE and hopefully others would decide to make a start completely in the UWL.
Q: I have history in a Non-UWL promotion. Do you recognize it?
A: Loosely. What this means is that unless we have a working relationship [Ex: UWL Affiliate 2CW and SPITFIRE] we will not address the actual promotion. At times, we may say something like "Adrian Noble has won championships all across the globe, and now he's come to MWE looking for more!". We at MWE and even UWL understand that achieving the success you have is never a small task. However, realistically it's hard press to find a promotion mention one they're not affiliated with. And when they do, it's usually in a negative way.
Q: Why do you need nearly two days to write results?
A: Honestly, we don't. The time period we have set between deadlines and results is to give judged plenty of time to do their jobs. Also, because we also post an HTML version of the results on UWL's Pro-Wrestling Syndicated page, we take this time to make sure all of our coding is done properly to prevent errors. This also gives YOU plenty of time to send in segments, talk to us about story development ideas, and calm your nerves a little bit.
Q: How does the 2 months 3 strike rule really work? How long do I have to wait before I can contend again?
A: As stated in the rules, the 2/3 rule has been put in place to help everybody get a chance at a championship. But in order for this to work, we had to come up with a cycle that made sense so we came up with this plan. How it works is that at the end of every PPV, we will post an updated contenders list. When that list is posted, all five contenders will be given 2 months to challenge for the title. Failure to challenge, or win the title after your third attempt will result in being thrown out of contention. As for when your next turn will come, it varies on the roster size. However, you will never see an enhancement talent in the contender spot nor will you be skipped by someone who joined after you were sent there. Everybody works their way up.
Q: As the champion, if I lose the title do I get a rematch clause? If so, how does it work?
A: Okay so the idea of the title scene in MWE is simple. We always want to give people chances to prove themselves. To help do so, this means that champions do and don't get a rematch clause. In order for a champion to get a rematch clause, he/she must successfully defend the championship against two different opponents before they can qualify. After doing so, upon losing the championship you will be given ONE rematch clause to cash in within the same 2 month time frame. Failure to do so sends you to the bottom of the list.
Q: I saw that the UWL World Heavyweight and other championships will sometimes be defended. How do you decide contenders?
A: When MWE gets the chance to host a UWL Championship match, the only people able to challenge are those in the proper Contendership rankings. For example, a contender for the UWL Missouri Heritage title can challenge for the UWL American, UWL Junior Heavyweight, and UWL Heartland Championships where as the contenders in UWL Missouri Heavyweight can challenge for UWL Central State, UWL American, and UWL World Heavyweight championships.
Q: If I win a UWL Championship, do I have to defend it at other efeds?
A: Yes. By winning it, you automatically agree to being the defending champion of the entire UWL. You are not required to sign up for UWL competition if you're not a champion. But when you are, you must go where you are booked.
Q: I'm a fellow UWL Fed Head, and would really like to book a UWL Missouri title match. Can I do so?
A: It would have to depend on the current state of the championship, but more times than not sure. In doing so, you're agreeing that at least one judge will be a MWE appointed judge for the match. Also, should your challenger WIN a MWE championship then they must sign up as an active MWE wrestler, even if only temporarily. In return, MWE offers the same generosity.
Q: How many matches are on each show/supershow/iPPV?
A: In the sense of realism, a normal MWE broadcast "Throwback" would last 2 hours including commercials. Counting segments and announcements, and breaking down card position time limits; that gives us about 5 matches per card. Supershows are held every other month that a PPV doesn't run on, replacing one Throwback broadcast. In MWE, Supershows are the equivalent to an Old-School Raw Special, giving us 3-Hours of air time. Once again, including segments and announcements that leaves us with about 6 or 7 matches. Pay Per Views are also on a 3 hour format, but with far less segments and no "commercials" that gives us much more time. So in doing so, we can get anywhere from 6-9 matches.
Q: Will MWE ever travel outside of Missouri?
A: As far as Throwback and Supershows go, no. However, because our iPPVs travel they can sometimes be outside of the state; though very rarely. Also, there may be times when we will co-host an event with another efed [ex: 2CW, another Mid-West territory]. In doing so, we can and often will host an out-of-state event.
Q: I see that you allow us to be a manager type character, how does that work?
A: We're rally glad you realized that contract. Managers in wrestling are as a part of wrestling as anything else. Bobby Heenan, Ted DiBiase, JJ Dillon... all great managers and all have legendary careers. And because MWE wants to go with traditional wrestling styles, we also want managers. As a manager, you can either help a roleplayer with their roleplay or you can simply be more of an On-Camera type manager and send in segments. We would prefer the former, so that the two of you can get to know how you think things should work out. Also, if you do work on the same roleplay, we suggest using PMs or Google Docs. This way you both have access to the roleplay before posting it. We also advice setting aside time to work together. - Annexed June 13, 2014 by Bryan Kennedy
Q: I have more questions, where do I take them?
A: If you have something about a personal situation, PM me [Bryan Kennedy]. However, if you have a general question that hasn't been asked please post it here. This way other members can have it answered too, in case they have the same question.
